The things students ask us most
What is on the UMCH admission test?
Three online parts of 25 questions each: biology, chemistry and general knowledge — 75 questions in about 90 minutes. Afterwards there is a short online interview of 15 to 20 minutes, mostly about your motivation for studying medicine.
How many attempts do I get?
Up to three attempts per year. If a sitting goes badly, we go through what happened together and put you into the next one better prepared.
Do I need biology or chemistry from school?
No. UMCH has no science-subject requirements — you need a completed high-school diploma (12 years of schooling: A-Levels, vitnemål, IB or Abitur) with no failed subjects. The test itself covers biology and chemistry, so that is what you prepare for.
Do I need IELTS or TOEFL?
No English certificate is required. Your English is assessed in the interview, which you take anyway.
What does the UMCH admission test cost?
Nothing — there is no application fee and no exam fee at UMCH. Medently's guidance and preparation are free too.
When are the next test dates?
UMCH confirmed four online sittings for summer 2026: 1, 5, 12 and 15 August, with studies beginning in October. The university announces new dates for each intake, and we tell our students the moment they are out.
How hard is the UMCH admission test?
It is the most accessible test among our universities: no numerus clausus, a general-knowledge part you can handle with common sense, and three attempts a year. Prepared students pass it routinely, and the interview rewards genuine motivation.
