We built Takstly.A billing tool for Norwegian doctors.
Paste the patient note. Takstly suggests the billing codes it supports, with the reasoning behind each one and a checklist of what the documentation is missing. The doctor approves every single code.
A worked example, and you can check it: roughly NOK 200 slipping per consultation, 25 consultations a day, is NOK 5,000 per working day. Multiplied by 20 working days a month and 11 months a year, that is NOK 1,100,000. Real numbers vary with how you already code.
Six years of medicine.Zero years of billing.
You qualify as a doctor after six years of medicine and zero years of how to bill correctly. Nobody taught it, and it is not something you can work out on the spot: Norway's fee schedule, Normaltariffen, holds 486 codes, each with its own conditions and documentation requirements.
So far the options have been to memorise the codes, or to page through the rulebook between two patients on a day with 25 on the list. Both cost time you do not have, and both mean codes slip.
Takstly removes that work. You paste the note you have already written and get the codes it supports, with the reasoning and a checklist of what the documentation still needs. Nothing to memorise.
What slipsin your practice?
The figures above are an example. Move the sliders to your own numbers and see what is actually at stake over a year.
From consultationto the finished codes
Three steps that sit after the patient, not on top of them. No new system to learn.

DESCRIBE THE CONSULTATION
Paste the note, or pick what was done. Names, national ID numbers, addresses and phone numbers are stripped in your browser before anything is sent.

GET SUGGESTIONS WITH REASONING
Takstly shows which codes the note supports, which of them can be combined, and why, quoting the line in your own text that each one rests on.

YOU REVIEW AND APPROVE
The checklist shows what the documentation is missing and suggests wording you can accept or reject. Nothing is filed until you say yes.
We build the toolswe are missing
The problem was real
One of us is a GP. His evenings went on searching the fee schedule for codes covering work he had already done. This was not a market we spotted, it was a problem we were sitting in.
We build what is missing
Medently has always built its own tools when the shelf version fell short: Medently AI, the flashcards and the housing board. Takstly is the same thing at the other end of a doctor's path.
And we do not overpromise
Takstly suggests, the doctor decides. Automatic stripping can miss something, and we say so out loud rather than promising it catches everything.
Built by two peoplewho know the problem
Medently gets Norwegians into medicine in Europe and stays with them through the degree. Takstly is what we built the day one of us was running his own practice and losing evenings to the fee schedule.
Same people, two companies, and the same idea in both: make the part of the job nobody became a doctor for a little lighter.
