How to get into the
University of Nicosia.
No entrance exam. The University of Nicosia checks that your grades meet the requirements, then invites you to an online interview you record from home. Admissions are rolling, so the sooner your file is in, the better your odds. We check your grades free before you apply.
The grades Nicosia asks for.
These requirements come directly from the Medical School's admissions office. Meet them and the next step is the interview, not an exam hall.
This page is about the 6 year MD for school leavers. If you already hold a bachelor degree, Nicosia also runs a 5 year graduate entry MD. Message us and we will tell you which door fits your file.
What documents do you need?
The core file is short, and we confirm your exact personal list with the university when we register you, so you never waste time on documents you do not need.
Your vitnemål or equivalent leaving certificate.
The official record of your subjects and grades.
A clear scan of the data page.
Your accepted certificate or qualifying school grades, from the list above.
Nicosia reviews every applicant individually, so the admissions office confirms translations, certified copies and anything extra for your specific school system once we register you. That confirmation is part of what we handle for you, free.
How the Nicosia application actually works.
No exam hall, no waiting rooms. The whole process is your file, one recorded interview, and an offer.
Send us your grades.
A photo of your vitnemål or transcript on WhatsApp is enough. We check it against Nicosia's requirements free, usually the same day.
We register you with the university.
Nicosia asks us to register each student by name before anything else, so your application is expected and credited from day one. That is also when they confirm your exact document list.
Build and submit your file.
We put the application together with you: documents, transcripts and English proof, checked before the university reads them.
Record your online interview.
Qualified applicants get an asynchronous online interview. You record your answers from home, in your own time, and we prepare you for it first.
Get your offer.
Pass the interview and the offer follows, conditional or unconditional. From there we handle the rest with you: acceptance, housing and the practical side of moving to Cyprus.
We run the application with you.
From the first grade check to the day your offer lands, you have one person on WhatsApp who knows your file, plus a student portal that tracks where your application stands. We prepare you for the interview too, free.
💬 Start with the free grade checkWhat it costs, with no surprises.
Medently costs you nothing. There are no agency fees, ever. You pay only the university's own fees, directly to the university.
Rolling admissions, so timing is strategy.
Nicosia has no single application deadline. Applications stay open until the places are filled, which cuts both ways: there is no date to panic about, but every week you wait, someone else's file lands first. Message us and we tell you exactly which intake you can still comfortably make.
Not sure your grades are enough?
Send us your vitnemål or transcript on WhatsApp and we tell you free, usually the same day, whether you meet Nicosia's requirements, and what your realistic alternatives are if not.
Nicosia admission, asked and answered.
Does the University of Nicosia have an entrance exam?

A vitnemål with a minimum overall average of 4.0, and minimum 4.0 in the sciences including Biology plus at least one more science such as Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics.
What English level do I need?
IELTS 6.5 overall with 6.5 in writing and at least 6.0 in every other part, or TOEFL iBT 79, GCSE English grade 5, IB Standard Level English 5, or Password Skills Plus. Native speakers from the UK, Ireland, USA, Australia and New Zealand are exempt.

What does it cost to study medicine in Nicosia?
Tuition is €22,000 per year across all six years, payable in instalments each semester. Need based scholarships of up to 20% exist, and the university estimates living costs at €9,000 to €12,000 per year.
What is the interview like?
It is asynchronous and online: you record answers to the university's questions from home, in your own time. No travel, no panel staring at you. We prepare you for it before you press record.
Does Lånekassen support studying in Cyprus?
Cyprus is in the EEA, and degree studies at accredited European universities normally qualify for ordinary Lånekassen support. We have not had that confirmed for Nicosia specifically, so we check your support with you before you commit to anything.
Is the degree recognised in Norway and the EU?
The MD is a full medical degree from an EU university. EEA rules on recognition of medical qualifications apply, and we are happy to talk you through exactly how authorisation works for your plans.
Rolling admissions reward the early.
Send your grades today and you will know where you stand before the weekend.
