Why European medical schools are hard to compare
Every university writes its requirements in its own language, against its own school system. One asks for chemistry at a set level. One asks for nothing from school at all and decides everything on an entrance exam. One reads your national diploma through a conversion table you have never seen.
So you open eight tabs and none of the numbers mean the same thing. Requirements are not comparable until they are expressed in grades you recognise. That is the whole job of this tool.

The four steps
- What you want to apply to — Medicine (six years), Dentistry (five years), or Transfer student if you started a medicine degree somewhere and did not finish it. The transfer route runs through Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Slovakia, only.
- Which country you are applying from — Norway, the United Kingdom, or a searchable list of every country in the world. What you see changes with this answer, because a Norwegian vitnemål, UK A-Levels and a national diploma are read differently by the same university.
- Whether you took science subjects at school — Answer No and the tool shows the universities that ask for no school subjects at all, where an entrance exam decides instead. Answer Yes and you tap Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Maths and pick the grade you got in each, on your own country's scale.
- Narrow by country — Flag chips that count how many of your remaining matches sit in each country, so you can see where your options are before you filter.
The list moves while you answer
The right side is a live list of universities you can actually apply to, each one a photo card. Change a grade and the list changes with it. Nothing loads, nothing submits.
You are told why a university does not fit
Universities that stop matching do not disappear. They move to a separate strip that names the reason, like "needs chemistry". You learn what is blocking you instead of quietly losing an option, and if the reason is one subject, you now know what to fix.

The map
The page opens on a dark map of Europe. There is a glowing green dot on every city we apply to, and each country carries a label with how many universities sit there: Poland 5, Czechia 4, Lithuania 2, Cyprus 2, Slovakia 1, Germany 1, Latvia 1, Spain 1, Italy 1. It zooms and pans, so you can start from a country you like and work back to the requirements.

Dentistry is a five year MDDr at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice and at Palacký University Olomouc. UMCH Medical Campus Hamburg has no dentistry programme at all, so it drops out the moment you pick that route. Pick Dentistry in step one and the tool shows you exactly which of the 18 are left.
What it costs you

No. There is no signup, no email field and no lead form. Your answers stay in your browser and nothing is sent to us or to any university.
What if I never took Biology or Chemistry at school?
Answer No at step three. The tool then shows only the universities that ask for no school subjects at all, where an entrance exam decides admission instead.
My grades are not out of 6 or A to E. Will it still work?
Yes. You pick your country at step two and grade yourself on your own national scale. The tool reads those grades against what each university asks for, which is what makes 18 sets of requirements comparable in the first place.
