To get into English-taught medicine at NCU in Bydgoszcz, Poland, you need three things: a school-leaving diploma that shows biology plus chemistry or physics (no minimum grades), a registration in NCU's admission system, and a pass in one online entrance exam. Most medical admissions in Europe make you fight on two fronts at once: your old grades and a new exam. NCU only cares about the second one. Step 1: check your diploma and register
- The only document rule that matters — your diploma must show biology and either chemistry or physics as subjects. Grades in them are irrelevant. If you are unsure whether your transcript qualifies, send it to us and we check it with the admissions office for you.
- Registration — applications go through NCU's online admission system, with an application fee of 85 PLN. We walk you through the registration so nothing is filled in wrong.
- Formalities we handle with you — Polish universities ask for an apostille on your diploma and a recognition statement, with final documents due by 30 September. It sounds bureaucratic; with us it is a checklist we work through together on WhatsApp.
Step 2: pass one exam
The exam has two parts on two consecutive days, both online:
- Written, day one — 50 multiple-choice questions: 30 biology, 12 chemistry, 8 physics. One point per question, roughly a minute each. You advance with 25 points or more.
- Oral, day two — a short scored conversation covering sciences, motivation and English, worth up to 75 points. An on-site oral can be arranged on request.
- The maths of admission — final score = half your written score plus your oral score. From 70 points, you are in.
- Proctoring — the exam is supervised through your camera and screen. Switching windows can disqualify you, so set up a clean room and a clean screen.
Preparation is where we earn our keep. NCU has licensed its official sample tests to us, so you practise the actual format. Biology carries 60 percent of the written points, so our reading plans start there.
Step 3: accept, pay, and book your flight
- Results — sitting one (exams 8 and 9 September) publishes results on 11 September. Sitting two (23 and 24 September) publishes on 25 September.
- First payment — the first semester, 31,500 PLN, is due by 30 September. The price is fixed by a rector's order for your entire degree.
- The safety net — if your visa is refused, NCU refunds the tuition in full. You are not gambling your savings on a stamp.
- Start — studies open 1 October, classes begin 2 October in Bydgoszcz.

Who NCU suits, and who it does not
NCU is built for the student whose diploma undersells them. If your grades are ordinary but you can learn biology properly in a focused sprint, this is the fairest big-university admission in our lineup. It is not the right pick if your diploma is missing the science subjects entirely; in that case UPJŠ in Košice asks for no specific subjects at all and its exam is biology and chemistry only. Frequently asked questions
Is there really no GPA requirement?
Really. NCU publishes no grade thresholds. Your diploma must show the subjects; the exam decides everything else.
What English certificate do I need?
Applicants generally show B2-level English from a recognised list. For Norwegian applicants the admissions office has confirmed in writing that no separate certificate is needed, since English is assessed in the oral part of the exam.
Can I sit the exam twice?

How do I not miss the start of studies?
