The medical faculty has taught in English since 1992 and there are more Norwegian students here than at any other university we work with. Our own founder studies medicine here.
The honest answer to can I get in depends less on how good your grades are than on which door you knock at. Some of these universities never look at your grades at all. Pick where you went to school and the table rewrites itself.
Any school leaving certificate that lets you start university at home. No subject minimums, no grade minimums.
English: No English certificate and no interview. The paper is written in English.

An online exam in biology, chemistry and either physics or maths, with the result the same day and a short online interview once you pass.

Living costs are an estimate from students who are there now, not a quoted price. Tuition figures are the official listings for the coming academic year; UMCH is the one university priced by where you are from.
Placement agencies across Europe charge somewhere between two and five thousand for the same journey, and then charge again for exam preparation. You never pay Medently anything, at any point, and the preparation is included. Every university on this page is EU-accredited and listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools. What happens next depends on where you want to practise, so here it is by country.
A five-year MDDr or DMD from these universities is recognised automatically under EU Directive 2005/36/EC, so you can apply for a licence in any member state without a conversion exam.
You apply to Helsedirektoratet for autorisasjon as a tannlege and start working. Many Norwegian dentists studied exactly this way.
The Norwegian dentistry guideDentists register with the GDC, never the GMC — the two are not interchangeable. GDC rules on European dental qualifications have changed before and are set by the government, so check gdc-uk.org for the position that applies on the day you graduate.

What you pay Medently, from the first question to your first lecture.
Yes. UPJŠ, UPOL and RSU run the whole five-year dental programme in English, from the first preclinical year to the final state exams. You learn the local language for talking to patients in the university clinic, but no part of your degree is assessed in it.
Five years. You graduate as MDDr. in Slovakia and Czechia and DMD in Latvia. Do not let anyone tell you it is six — UPJŠ moved its English dental programme to five years from the 2025/26 intake, aligning with Poland and Czechia.
Far fewer than in medicine. RSU takes about thirty-two dental students per intake and runs two intakes a year; UPOL admits roughly fifteen to twenty a year. That is the single most important fact on this page, and it is why applying to more than one university matters more in dentistry than anywhere else.
No. UPJŠ and UPOL set their own entrance exam in biology and chemistry. RSU sets no exam at all and decides on your subject grades, a motivation form and two references.
At UPJŠ and UPOL there is no grade minimum — the exam decides, and the dentistry bar at UPJŠ is about 620 of 800 rather than the 570 medicine asks for. RSU scores named subjects rather than your average and scores dentistry more strictly than medicine. Use the checker on this page to see where you stand.
€13,500 a year at UPJŠ, €14,000 at UPOL and €15,500 at RSU, plus roughly €500 to €800 a month to live. At UPJŠ and UPOL your rate is fixed from the day you enrol and does not rise while you study.
In the third year, in the university's own dental clinic, supervised. The first two years are preclinical: anatomy, physiology, materials and phantom-head work on simulators.
Dentists register with the GDC in the UK and with Helsedirektoratet in Norway, and inside the EU and EEA a five-year dental degree is recognised automatically under Directive 2005/36/EC. Regulators do change their rules, so check the current position with them before you commit rather than taking anyone's word for it.

Not once you are enrolled — they are separate programmes with separate places. But you can apply to both in the same cycle at UPJŠ, UPOL and RSU, and plenty of people do.
